I’m a bit hesitant to put this out there, but I’m on a quest. And no, it’s nothing weird or sinful. I’m actually looking for an old-school album that’s proving to be a bit tricky to find –unless you’re willing to fork out the monetary equivalent of an arm and a leg for it.
It’s the 1973 album Buckingham Nicks by Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Yes, those two who later joined Fleetwood Mac and catapulted them into the land of platinum album sales. The sad part is that this particular album didn’t sell well. I think it’s because the label didn’t really believe in it or promote it, which you musician-types out there can speak to better than I can that it leads to not a long career.
In this case, Mick Fleetwood heard the album and liked it enough to invite them to join the band. And the rest, as they say, is history. But this little album kinda got forgotten. Hence, it’s a bit hard to find these days.
My offer is that if you find it and mail it to me, I will reimburse you. I might even throw a little extra in for the effort. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org (if you choose to accept this challenge). If not, no biggie and I’ll keep looking.
