Getting ready for Christmas isn’t about having every gift bought and wrapped.
It’s not about having your house immaculately clean and decorated.
It’s not about having every square inch of your yard festively lit up and glowing in LED wonder.
The only present that matters this Christmas is not the one that’s perfectly wrapped with a sparkly bow on top and resting underneath your tree. It’s the one crudely wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger of all places.
That’s the gift that truly keeps on giving. That’s the one gift that matters and won’t be forgotten the next day or week or month or year. Or ever.
It’s the only gift able to bring the dead to life, make the lame walk, heal the sick, comfort the broken hearted, restore the fallen, and reconcile the lost to God.
God has given the gift of Himself as a helpless baby who will one day grow up to be the Savior of the world.
Will you receive it?
