I miss the Opryland theme park. I still can’t believe that they leveled it to build another shopping mall. All I got are memories and this lousy t-shirt.

I do like Opry Mills, but I don’t think it was worth losing a place that held so many memories for me growing up. Like that old Grizzly River Rampage. I believe the tagline on that one was “You will get wet.” And they sure were right.

There were some good rides (though I confess I was too chicken to ride the roller coasters), good food, and good live entertainment. I believe a lot of people who became famous got their start at Opryland.

The t-shirt’s not really lousy. I actually really like it. It reminds me of a part of my happy childhood. So I’ll wear it with pride.
