And the Wacky Weather Award Goes to . . .

Yesterday was as close to summer as we’ve gotten so far in Tennessee. It was over 80 and a bit humid. I even sweated a bit and turned on the A/C in my car. I briefly considered taking the top off of my Jeep. Thankfully, I reconsidered.

Today, it felt much more wintry. With the rain and winds, it definitely did not feel like summer at all. And that was after I made the call to move all my flannel shirts out of my closet and replace them with my Hawaiian shirt collection. In hindsight, that was probably a wee bit premature.

But here we are. That’s typical for this time of year in Tennessee. Warm. Cold. Warm. Cold. Repeat to infinity. At least for two more weeks. Then it will be summer.

But at least we get all four seasons. The downside is that we get them all within the span of a week. Sometimes in a 48 hour time period. But I probably wouldn’t want it any other way. Maybe next time, I’ll keep the flannel shirts around a bit longer.
