“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh” (John 6:51, The Message).

Lord, as we participate in the breaking of the bread, may we always remember that it was Your body that was broken for us that we might be made whole and never hunger any more. It was Your blood poured out completely for us that we might have new life and be made clean. We take these elements in remembrance of You who laid down Your life with us on Your mind. Amen.
