It’s been a little while since I last updated you on my quest to see all the episodes of the classic run of Doctor Who from 1963-1989, minus the lost episodes.
I can now say that I’ve seen them all. Except for those that are missing from the archives. And a few extras that Britbox didn’t have access to at the time.
I made it through 7 doctors, countless companions, and even more baddies, along with numerous aliens and monsters (think actors in rubber suits).
I only wish I’d known about it when I was a wee lad growing up in the bonnie hills of . . . Memphis. Yeah, that doesn’t work so well when it’s not Scotland.
It does make me wish at times that I were British (or at least could affect a passable British accent). I really can’t think of anything on this side of the pond that even comes close to the phenomenon that has been Doctor Who for over the last 50 years.
I suppose I will at some point start on NuWho, the revival episodes that started in 2005 and have been going strong ever since.
I of course will keep you updated as I progress through each of the doctors up to the very present doctor, Jodie Whittaker.
Stay tuned.
