Bishop Walker was the guest speaker at Kairos, and it was goooooood. I recommend checking out the podcast when it becomes available. I know I will.
He talked about he’s always been a fan of Batman, going back to the days of the old 60’s TV series. Yep, that campy take on the Caped Crusader starring Adam West and Burt Ward.
He remembers one particular episode that ended on a typical cliffhanger with Batman tied up in a vault, seemingly in a helpless predicament.
The next episode, he somehow managed to wriggle his way out and save the day.
Bishop Walker, then just a boy, asked his das how Batman was able to escape. His dad replied, “It was written in the script.”
If God has called you and given you a purpose, He won’t squander you. He won’t lose you. He won’t let storms or desert seasons defeat you.
How do you know that God will bring you through? It has been written in the Script. God has promised to finish the good work He started in us so very long ago.
“We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan” (Romans 8:28, The Voice).
Also, there’s this:
“But no matter what comes, we will always taste victory through Him who loved us. For I have every confidence that nothing—not death, life, heavenly messengers, dark spirits, the present, the future, spiritual powers, height, depth, nor any created thing—can come between us and the love of God revealed in the Anointed, Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:37-39, The Voice).
