Into the Great Wide Open: Goodbye, Tom Petty

“You belong among the wildflowers

You belong somewhere close to me

Far away from your trouble and worries

You belong somewhere you feel free

You belong somewhere you feel free”
I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that Tom Petty is gone. He was only 66 (which is looking younger and younger all the time). I can’t believe that I’ll never get the chance to see him live in concert.

He leaves behind an incredible legacy of music spanning five decades. So many can point to his songs that provided the soundtrack of some of their best memories.

Only two of the Traveling Wilburys are left now– Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne.

Rest in peace, Tom, and thanks for all the great music.
