I’m probably going to repeat myself a bit here. After all, it’s hard to write one of these every single day for going on four years and not get a bit repititious, right?
There are some of you out there wondering how you’re going to pay your bills with no money coming in. You wonder where God is because in this moment, you feel forsaken. You feel doomed to ultimate and final failure.
Here’s what I know for sure.
God has not left you nor will He ever. He promised to always be with you and He NEVER breaks His promises. Ever.
He WILL finish what He started in you. He WILL succeed in transforming you into the image of Jesus. How do I know? Because He said so.
There’s a verse in the Psalms that says that the righteous are never forsaken nor are their descendants begging for bread. I don’t know exactly what that means or how it plays out, but I do know this: God is on your side. He will provide. End of story.
So take heart. God is near. Trust His silence as much as you trust His activity. Trust what you know of His heart over what you think you see of His hand. Your eyes can deceive you but God never will.
I have read the end of your story and of mine. It’s not a tragedy. It’s a triumph. You win. I win. God wins. It’s the best possible “happily ever after” scenario ever.
Trust me on this one.
Awesome post, Greg. I love that “so take heart” paragraph. So powerful, so true and I so needed the reminder.
