I have facebook friends who never comment on or like anything of mine. They never communicate with me and always seem to ignore me whenever I try to communicate with them. Yet we’re considered friends. Only in social media.
I don’t get it. If you never see a person or talk to them or communicate in any way, you’re not friends. Yet on facebook, you can basically pretend someone doesn’t exist and still be considered a friend. It’s enough to make my brain hurt.
I heard once that what we long for most is what we’re most afraid of– to know and be fully known.
Yet God knows us completely, warts and all, yet loves us unconditionally and invites us to know him.
That part I like.

Sad to say that sometimes people are not true brethren. That is why they don’t initiate or respond to us. Remember you are a bright light. We all know it’s part of persecution. Hold tight to the friends in the Lord you have. You also know you will gain more, for He has set them in your path. God does know all and He knows our pain which will be completely gone in His time.
